Miss Australia Model Search 2008 - conditions of entry.

1. The Application to be an entrant in the Miss Australia model event 2008 constitutes the acceptance of all
of the 'Event conditions of entry' by the respective entrant.

2. Entry criteria: The judging criteria for entrants will focus on an entrants personality, style and presentation.
(height/ size/ chance does not play any part). The Miss Australia model event is open to all natural born
Females 14-17 (teen) & 18-24 years (as at 1/7/08) and you are not required to join or be registered with a model/ talent agency in order to enter the event. National winners will be judged at the finale on Sunday 28th September at the Swissōtel, Sydney in the categories of Miss Australia teen and Miss Australia model 2008 and will be required to be Australian residents/ citizens by birth/ naturalisation. If the winner is from one category, the runner up is chosen from the other and may stand in where the winner is absent for official appearance duties.

The once off registration fee ($90.00 inc GST) payable by all entrants includes:

a.  The official Miss Australia Model Certificate. (one free model workshop is available prior to live events).
b.  The Placement of your event image online. (check our free offer below)
c.  Model casting service for entrants to cast for paid TV, Fashion and Print/ extras work.(2008)

Online Voting: (valid to 31/8/08) An image is selected (entrant supplied or the event photo shoot) to be placed on the contestants page where up to 20 winners are invited to attend the respective State final. Entrants may also be selected online for TVC, print, fashion and featured extra castings for the duration of the event (model earnings last year varied from $40~$100 per hour less 20% service fee). Live heats/ National Final: The event 2008 event is also scheduled in 18+ licensed venues and shopping centres (optional entry) where the program may consist of appearing in front of the judges in your choice of:

(a) Sports/ body/ swim/ gym wear outfit, followed by

(b) Glamorous wear outfit. (heels may be worn with both outfits).

Each Live venue winner receives entry into the Grand final and the Official DVD model portfolio prize (valued up to $1500.00 inclusive of Professional Hair & make up services). The winners portfolio shoots commences with Make up at at 2.00 pm with the event finale commencing at 5.00 pm. Please confirm your appearance to Brittany by the 19th of September on 9267 2557. The Grand finale will be held in the ballroom of the luxurious Swissōtel, 68 Market Street, Sydney on Sunday 28th of September 2008.

4. The Miss Australia event entrants compete for up to $25,000 value in cash and (non-transferable) prizes  inclusive of location model portfolios (hair & makeup/ staging/editing/ photography), an appearance wardrobe of Miss Australia glam/ sports wear (value up to $1000.00), a cash live appearance model contract (up to $2000.00) and the prestigious Miss Australia Model title for 2008. The title can be used by the winner/ entrants in TV, print and media events only with the written permission of the organisers- Seven digital Media.

5. All legal liability and costs for all parties in respect of an entrants participation in the Miss Australia Model
event and its prizes is the sole responsibility of the entrant. The entry fee is non refundable and prizes are not transferable. Only one portfolio shoot prize per entrant is valid. An entrant who is rude, does not follow a reasonable directive by the event coordinator or is deemed unsuitable to compete further in the 2008 event may be suspended without any notice. The 2008 event is not associated with any fund raising, international pageants nor motor vehicle, alcohol or men's lifestyle publications.

6. The events judges and coordinators decisions are final and the National winner and runner up will be chosen by a panel representing the model, talent and media industry. The Finale judges selection criteria will focus on the models personality, commercial viability and presentation. (height/ size/ chance does not play any part). Contractors and/ or their immediate families who have supplied services to the organiser or any event licensee within 60 days of the National finale are not eligible to be judged. Seven Digital Media reserves the right to change or vary the above event conditions of entry and finale without notice.
